Hi folks, Trust you enjoyed a restfull Christmas, we were blessed to have most of our family here at our house. Of course I got to see the rest of them during my brief week in NY the week before Christmas.
Tomorrow (Mon Jan 8th in NZ) I go in to have my last normal Chemo. During this past week I have had various tests to prepare for stem cell surgery. I will be admitted to Waikato hospital on Feb 6th and begin the procedure on Feb 7th. I will be in an isolation room for 3 weeks ,the first 3 days I have intravenious chemo non stop. Then after a one day break my own stem cells are put back into my body. At that point I am near death, as all my good cells will die along with the cancer.
Obviously this is a critical time & we will be gratefull for any prayer support during this time & over the estimated 4 months of recovery.
God has kindly put three "transplantee's" in my path just in the past month, all in complete recovery including a Dr who was back at work in six months. He advised me to fatten up if possible as he lost 10 kg (22lbs) during the procedure.
Next week we are taking a few days off in Auckland. I'll be preaching at Vision Church on Sun morning 14th, then on the 17th I go to Waikato for the stem cell harvest, this is expected to take one to two days.
It's been so long since I felt well I've forgotten what its like but I look forward to the promise of Malachi 4:2 "But for you who revere my name ,the Son of righteousness wil rise with healing in it's wings .And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall."
Thanks for your love & prayer God Bless.
